This is quality vintage looped chainette acetate fringing that was manufactured in now ceased textile factories & mills of Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire. 
It was specifically made for lampshade makers though can be used for other soft furnishings, clothing and crafts.
4.5cm high including a ripple header braid.
Note that any creasing can be easily ironed out with the tip of a steam iron on synthetics/lower heat setting.
